1) What geographical areas do you cover?
A) At Shorterm we have positions covering the UK,
our office branches are located in West Drayton, Stratford, Birmingham and
Derby.
2) Do you offer permanent and contract positions?
A) Yes, at Shorterm we have dedicated permanent and
contract teams within each of our divisions. We have the experience to deal with
all kinds of vacancies.

4) How do I find out more about the job I am interested in?
A) You can contact our consultant to discuss any of
our opportunities, we will e-mail you a job specification form if you request
one, or simply view the details posted on our website.
5) Will I get help with my interview?
A) Yes, if you have applied for one of our permanent
positions we will provide coaching before the interview.
6) If my CV needs improving, what can I do?
A) We provide a service to help you improve your CV,
there is helpful advice within the “CV advice” section.
7) How do I register with you?
A) You can either call one of our consultants who
will process your details and make you available on our database, or you can
complete our on-line registration form.
8) What are the benefits of registering?
A) There are many benefits to registering with us;
once registered your details are made available on our database and we will
contact you if a relevant position becomes available, if we have your CV we can
search against different criteria offering you the most appropriate positions,
our automatic search engine will profile your specific requirements and you can
even set up e-mail alerts to inform you of job vacancies you are interested in.
9) How do I get paid?
A) We can pay you in three different ways; PAYE.
Limited Company or by one of our preferred supplier companies.
PAYE: This payment is made to you via BACS or Cheque directly to yourself
with National Insurance and Income tax deducted via ourselves.
Limited Company: Has to be a director of this company, or we can not pay you
as a Limited company. To set you up as a limited company we require
certificate of incorporation, VAT certificate if applicable, and we need either
288A form or a 10EF form. If we do not have this paperwork, we can not pay you
as a Limited company.
Our Preferred Suppliers (Umbrella Payments): Marlin, Evolve, Hexagon and
Connor Williams.
10. If you are working as a contractor there are
different ways to get paid:
Q) Are you Self Employed or PAYE?
A) If you are PAYE, we can pay you through Shorterm
via our payroll.
A) If you are Self Employed, you will have to have a
Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number, or your own Limited Number. The difference is
UTR is a personal tax reference, which allows you to use company limited. If you
have your own limited company we pay you directly into your own limited bank
account.
