In January 2011 Shorterm Group was placed on a shortlist of just 16 specialist recruitment agencies approved to supply contract workers to Carillion business units. As a preferred supplier, we are authorised to provide specialist recruitment services to the Carillion business units dealing in utilities, rail, mechanical and electrical, telecommunications, plant and facilities management, supplying contract engineers and other technical personnel for key roles.
Quality Control
We have been able to fill all roles with appropriately skilled and suitably located candidates by drawing on our extensive database of registered candidates and by networking through our known candidates to identify potential new ones. Once our candidates are accepted by the Carillion business unit we take care of all the reference checking, compliance procedures and payroll arrangements needed behind the scenes – so they can get on with the job they’ve been recruited to do. All of the data relating to each contractor is maintained by us on our own systems and updated on the Carillion management portal for fully transparent quality control.

At the end of the month Carillion Managed Services is presented with a single bill for the contractors’ hours and our services.
