Rapid response for time-sensitive projects
On a Wednesday in February 2011 we received an urgent call from Carillion Rail. They were due to install a new platform extension at the Elstree & Boreham Wood station in Hertfordshire for Network Rail. The new module had been pre-cast in Germany and was due to arrive on Friday with a team of German assemblers who would erect the structure over the weekend. But with three days to go, the company supplying them with 40 support workers announced they were unable to commit people to the job. Could we help?

All of the candidates on our database are PTS Card registered, so we were able to send the names, telephone numbers and all-important PTS registration details straight over to the project manager.

The entire project ran like clockwork, and Carillion Rail were so impressed with our service that we have been awarded a national labour framework contract that allows us to supply labour to Carillion Rail on any of their projects around the country.
We have already been asked to supply the labour for the Great Eastern Electrification Project, the Bletchley Re-signalling Project and the Thames Link Project – so we will be making great use of our huge nationwide database of skilled and experienced rail contractors located around the country. Going by current projections, we will be supplying more than 200 people each week to work on these three projects alone.
