Fast Response Times
We started supplying warehouse staff to Johnson & Johnson’s European Vision Centre in December 2008. The agency they were using had struggled to fill the roles, claiming the warehouse was in a hard-to-reach location and therefore an unattractive proposition for prospective workers. They had been waiting seven days for their agency to find 10 warehouse temps. We had people on site within 48 hours.
Pool Of Temporary Workers
With the first challenge out of the way, we set about creating a pool of temporary workers that we can call on at short notice as the workload dictates.
Proactive Problem Solving
Johnson & Johnson had been told that their Sunbury site was hard to reach. So we engaged in some proactive problem solving. We looked at local maps, bus routes and train timetables and identified areas that were easy to reach from Sunbury, such as Hounslow, Feltham and Hayes. We then conducted an intensive recruitment campaign to find potential candidates living in these areas.
On Site Office
We have our own on site office in the Johnson & Johnson building, which is staffed for three full days a week. While Johnson & Johnson staff organise the day-to-day work for our contractors, we take care of everything else, including interviewing for vacancies, managing the payroll, preparing statistics for the client’s management team and supporting the contractors with any work-related issues they may have.
Perfectly Placed
When we provide you with temporary staff there are no grey areas about who does what. You’re in charge of the day-to-day work, and we’re responsible for everything else. This leaves you perfectly placed to focus on your core operation.
