Recruitment Consultant (Perms)
The Shorterm Group is a leading specialist recruiter and supplier
of Technical staff, Professional Engineers, skilled trade’s staff and
industrial/commercial workers. The role of Recruitment Consultant is to
maximise Contractors working, Permanent Placements, Gross Profit Margin/Fees
through successful servicing of existing Clients, and the generation of
sales opportunities.
Reporting to the Manager, the Recruitment Consultant will successfully
service current Clients and strengthen the existing relationships. An
integral part of the role will be to target and acquire new business, plus
to generate applicant flow and manage applicants to meet current and future
Client needs. Furthermore, the role requires efficient Branch administration
and control procedures.
The day to day activities of the Recruitment Consultant will be to attain
the Company minimum standards of achievement which should include but not be
limited to telephone sales to prospective new contacts, sales lead
generation and follow-up, updating Agency/Competitor intelligence file,
generate clients visits for the branch, organise mailings and follow-up,
ensure new business is gained at a profitable rate, adhering, wherever
possible, to the margins, mark-ups and permanent fee % as defined by your
Manager. The Recruitment Consultant will maintain regular contact with
Contractors/Permanent Candidates/new permanent placements providing timely
accurate feedback.
Other activities provided by the Recruitment Consultant will include the
preparation of advertising copy, handling responses and record in the
(Advertisement Response Book), using other marketing means – Web-Site Etc.,
gaining referrals from current Contractors/Candidates, ensuring all
Contractors/permanent Candidates/visitors to the Branch are made welcome.
Provide a friendly and professional service to contractors/Candidates to
ensure continuity/confidence, create trust and confidence in
Contractors/permanent Candidates, ensure all Contractors/permanent
Candidates are registered to the Company standards and requirements.
The Recruitment Consultant will ensure prompt and efficient completion of
all documentation and administration. Carry out procedures in accordance
with Company policies and Quality Management System control. Prepare correct
wages/permanent placement information for prompt delivery to Payroll
Services Department, adhere to all Industry Codes/Legislation as laid down.
Ensure all company Terms of Business are complied with. Achieve agreed level
of mark-up by regular review of pay and charge rates. Achieve agreed level
of Permanent Fee %.
